A Thoughtful, Child-Centered Approach to Ongoing School Placement
Partnering with your family for Kindergarten and beyond
At Rose Hill Montessori, we support each child’s transition to Kindergarten with intention, care, and a deep understanding of who they are. Our exmissions philosophy starts with the belief that every child has unique needs. Our teachers closely observe how each child thinks, explores, and expresses themselves, and this deep knowledge becomes the core of our guidance during the placement process.
How We Support Families
Each fall, families of children in their final preschool year are invited to meet individually with the director to review the child’s strengths, needs, temperament, and learning style. Together, we create a curated list of schools that feel aligned with the family’s philosophy and the child’s natural disposition. We help families focus on finding learning environments where their child will feel confident, curious, and joyful.
Throughout the fall and winter, we continue to guide families—answering questions, reviewing choices, and helping support children through interviews, play visits, and transitions. Our goal is to reduce stress, not amplify it, and to help families feel informed, confident, and supported.
Our Graduates
Children who move on from Rose Hill Montessori carry with them strong social-emotional skills, independence, collaboration, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. These qualities make them well-prepared for a wide range of elementary settings, from progressive and inquiry-based programs to more traditional environments.
We celebrate the diversity of paths our families choose, and our priority is always the same: ensuring each child joins a community where they will be known, supported, and inspired.
